Imagine you have one app where you can chat, write notes, store files and organize your data in any shape or structure you want. Now imagine if that app stores all the data locally on your device, where everything loads instantly and you can work on it even when you’re offline. It would be even better if you could sync that data with other devices and other users. Ideally you would like to be able to host the backend anywhere you want, giving you full control over the data. And to top it of, make it open-source so you can modify or add anything that you would like freely.
That’s what I’ve been working on for the last couple of months and I’m happy to introduce @colanode.
Colanode is an open-source and local-first collaboration workspace. We are building the collaboration infrastructure of the AI area. Most of the things mentioned above will be done by the agents in the future and Colanode is built from ground up for that. You can try it now by downloading the desktop app at colanode.com.
